What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a comprehensive quotation, ideally I would need the event date and time, a brief explanation of the theme of the event and whether it is a wedding blessing, couples commitment or renewal of vows. I would need the estimated number of guests, the potential venue. From this information, I can then use my experience to put together a suitable quotation for your special day.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask the Celebrant about the service they offer, how creative they can be and whether they can help put together a suitable, individual, unique ceremony.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My passion for being a Celebrant was born from working as an Events Officer at Gloucester Cathedral, where I helped many wedding couples hold their wedding and reception at the venue. I was also very much involved with funerals and bereaved families. My desire to help people to celebrate life events was so strong that I decided to get myself properly trained to offer a bespoke unique celebrant service, either semi-religious or non-religious, that offers couples and families something different than a Church or a Registry Office.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Thankfully, I have had plenty of bookings through this platform and many enquiries. t is a great site for couples looking for services for their event and I am grateful for the opportunities that have been sent my way. I haven't been on the site long enough to mention any bookings yet, as they are all in the future! However, I will be sure to report on the first one due in September this year. My own experience as a celebrant has been fantastic and I have done many themed events, I love dressing up!
