What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to give the best quote we can we first need to know the basics - when and where the event is being held. Extra information like the number of guests and whether it is an indoor or outdoor event is helpful too. Once I get chatting to an organiser I'll usually ask them if they have any inspirational pictures they'd like to share.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Flowers, like all products you buy, have their own environmental story. It's great to be able to choose, where possible, an ethical supplier so I'd say always ask your florist where they source their flowers from. At Rosacanina we grow all our flowers right here in the UK so they haven't travelled far to get to you. Because of this, our flowers have a really unique scent and a delicate beauty - British flowers rock!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Rosacanina was started in 2016 after Del and I worked together to do the flowers for her son Tom's wedding. We realised we could bring together her expert growing knowledge and my floristry training to create a business we were truly passionate about. It's great to be able to do what we love whilst also creating beautiful arrangements to compliment people's events.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

The best thing about Add to Event are the customers! We talk to so many interesting people who are up for working with us to create fresh and new ideas. Our favourite event so far was a woodland wedding where we got to decorate everything with flower garlands and floral arches - the guests said the flowers made the event look totally magical and we loved doing it. We love the range of jobs Add to Event caters for - from intimate weddings with a handful of guests to a medieval re-enactment in a castle! Keep the requests coming!
