What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Key things I need to know are the event date, event type, event location and venue (if booked) and the length of time you'd like coverage for. It always help to add more details - if you're indoor or outdoor, have specific requests or have any alternative or unusual features to your day!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Decide on what kind of style you're looking for - traditional, super posed or relaxed and go from there. What kind of input on the day do you want from your photographer - are you more focused on organising group shots or super structured couples photos, or would you rather less disruption and people be captured naturally? Then I'd decide what kind of things you'd want to include - bridal prep or not, reception dancing etc.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I'm from a village in the East Yorkshire countryside, but now live in Coulsdon with my fiancée & 2 boisterous pups, Logan & Frank. I spend most my time between the two areas, but always happy to explore new places across the UK.
Since studying Art & Design at the University of Leeds, I've been working as a CRM Manager in London for various companies including ASOS. It's time I venture back into the creative world! I miss the hands-on approach in creating something that people appreciate and love for years to come.
