What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide the most accurate quote possible, we require you to provide us with the following: The event date, the type of event you are hosting, the approximate number of guests in attendance, the venue location, whether the event will take place indoors or outdoors, how many vendors will be on-site, what you have already booked and/or planned so far, what you will need help with prior to the day and on the day itself. From this information, we use our expertise and experience to put together a suitable plan and comprehensive quote for you individually.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is vital to get to know each of your vendors, as well as do extensive research into their portfolio as well as the services they offer. Make sure that you are comfortable with their knowledge of the industry as well as their specific sector. You will be spending a lot of time with this person so it is important that you get along well with them, and feel comfortable reaching out to them with any questions and queries. Always double check that they have the appropriate insurance for what you are looking for. Ensure that the services they can offer is exactly what you are looking for, and do a trial run if necessary.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
For the last six to seven years, I have worked within various sectors in the industry. From photography, to dress/costume shops, to hairdressing and, finally, the planning and management of events. This is where I felt most at home and feel like I can excel. I am very much a people pleaser and love to bring my clients' visions to life. In 2021, I decided to go out on my own to help clients achieve their perfect days, focusing on their vision and budget. My dream has always been to run my own wedding and events company to ensure clients are getting the best customer care possible, whilst being cost-effective!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am lucky enough to have had many bookings through this platform, and I have been so proud of the connections I have made through it - as well as the amazing feedback and 5-star reviews from them! Recently, I attended a tipi wedding that was incredibly beautiful on the south coast of the U.K. Looking after 150 guests, setting up an entire outdoor ceremony, liaising with 20 vendors and still ensuring the couple had everything they needed. The beautiful couple gave me the biggest hug at the end of the night and said I had made their dreams come true. It was such an honour to help create the most beautiful day for such a wonderful couple.
