What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote, we would ideally need a date, guest numbers, what level of service they were looking for (one-off advice, full planning, on the day management) and what their full event budget is.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is vital to have a good relationship with suppliers! You want to feel comfortable around them as you will be working together for potentially a long time!
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We are so passionate about Weddings! After studying for a degree in Events Management, I took a position working for another Wedding planner and the love for Weddings began to grow! After ten years working within Weddings and events for venues and catering companies, decided we wanted to offer couples a private service. We saw so many stressed couples who really needed help beyond venue/catering assistance and felt we could provide this!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
There have been many bookings via Add to Event, one being for the lovely Alex and Emily who we managed their Wedding on the day. They wanted to plan their own Wedding but hired us to come along on the day and take it from there, so they didn't need to stress about timings, meeting suppliers, communicating, décor set up etc. We even helped look after some very special guests - alpacas! It was a beautiful day!
