What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Only choose suppliers that have been recommended to you, where possible. It is so easy to source a supplier for your event from the internet without knowing whether they are suitable or not. Also, speak to the supplier by telephone, it is much easier to get an impression of a business speaking to them rather than via email.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

LMS Weddings was set up by myself, Lynda Smallman. Having worked in the Hospitality industry for many years, it frustrated me when the venue (Hotel) didn't take care of the finer details for the couple on their big day.
Setting up LMS Weddings meant that I could help couples with as much or as little towards their special day.
I have a huge passion for weddings and enjoy seeing all those months of planning come together on the biggest day of people's lives.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Wow, I have absolutely loved all of the weddings I have been part of. It is difficult to pick one wedding out from all of the others. However, probably one that stands out above others, is a couple who had a Church ceremony in the village where they lived. They were then having their reception in a city centre Museum and Art Gallery. The problem was that the venue was open to the public until 4:30. The reception was due to start at 6:00 pm. From a logistic point of view, it was a lot of work to ensure that all of the suppliers worked together to ensure that everything was in place within an hour and a half. It all came to plan and I absolutely loved meeting the challenge that was in front of me.
