Who are we?

E J Event Medical is a family-run business based in Retford, North Nottinghamshire.

I, Gavin Briers am the founder and director of the company and HCPC registered Paramedic, my wife Laura Briers is an NMC registered nurse, Dr. Dan Leeder is a GMC registered ED consultant and our medical director.

Our Aim.

Here at E J Event Medical, our aim is to provide a high level and high quality of care for members of the public who visit our clients’ events. As a small family-run business, our ambition is to start with our local communities, local councils, and local businesses offering medical cover for events and offer first aid training at reasonable costs.

We as much as our clients, want to ensure events are run safely with every eventuality covered by our highly skilled teams.

Our Staff/Subcontractors.

As a Paramedic I work for the local NHS Ambulance service part-time on the front line, a number of colleagues from EMAS, YAS, and private Ambulance services work with us at events when they are available. These are made up of Emergency Care Assistance (ECA’s), Technicians (EMT’s), Paramedics, FREC 3’s, 4’s and Community First Responders (CFR’s).

We have a number of Doctors and Consultants on our books that all have emergency care training, a number of Emergency Department (ED) Nurses and Health Care Assistance (HCA’s) who are all skilled and trained to treat most injuries on site without the need to be taken to a hospital.

Accreditations

We are currently in the application process of our CQC registration which we hope will be completed early next year, we are ICO registered (ZB289230) to comply with GDPR. All our staff/ sub-contractors have a current working DBS and is checked as part of our yearly compliance.
