About Emma-Marie Kabanova, Violinist
I am a professional violinist based in Dorset. For the last 10 years I have performed both as a soloist in concert halls and for parties, weddings and functions. I have performed for intimate gatherings and for large parties; for royalty and for children. I specialise in classical music, I have a masters degree in classical violin performance and completed further training in Moscow Russia with musicians from the Bolshoi Theatre. I have a passion for music written between 1600 and 1800 and perform in an ensemble that was recently featured on Classic FM. I have travelled the world performing classical music as a soloist and with orchestras. I am also keen on playing folk music and love a good cèilidh!
I have a wide experience of performing for events, from the Queen’s Birthday Party Celebrations in Moscow, to a FIFA World Cup Committee cocktail party; from cathedral weddings to intimate garden ceremonies; from birthday parties for company directors to children's parties. I have a lot of experience working with people in care. For 2 years I lead music workshops with young offenders and still regularly perform in hospitals and care homes. Former corporate clients include the British Embassy in Moscow, the Embassies of Denmark, Netherlands and New Zealand and USA and The Royal Navy. I enjoy working with my clients to create the perfect soundtrack to their big day. During my undergraduate education, I studied composition and often make arrangements of the music that my clients request to fit the violin so that they get exactly what they hoped for. I am a member of the Musicians Union and have Public Liability Insurance.
If you are looking to add a touch of elegance and romanticism to your event, then look no further!
