My inspirational science-shows are aimed at children but totally fascinating for all ages, they are typically a spectacular, lively, and light-hearted sharing of more kitchen-table experiments than you’ll be able to remember. All of them use everyday materials and familiar household objects. Most can easily and safely be repeated afterwards.

‘Exploding Custard’ is my most popular show and with it I have delighted countless audiences in at least fifteen countries around the world for the past 35 years. I received the 2019 Beetlestone Award for leadership and legacy in informal science learning.

Fast-moving and hilariously informal, my science shows encourage children’s curiosity, motivate them to think critically and empower them to experiment safely. Audiences leave every performance buzzing with excitement and ideas.

I also love to provide less structured ‘science busking’ or ‘drop-in’ tabletop science activities and participative demonstrations for smaller groups on a continuous basis. My indoor paper-rocket workshop sessions are extremely popular (and impressive!).

Outdoors, I can also provide spectacular giant bubble entertainment and participation.
