About Imagining History Workshops
Imagining History provides educational history workshops and historical character entertainment for children that captivates and entertains. Our interactive sessions combine role-play, storytelling, demonstrations and drama and performance to bring history to life for our audiences.
We offer a range of sessions for events; including live interactive performances, educational workshops and historical character meet & greets. Each of our fully interactive sessions uses a combination of drama-based games, role-play and storytelling activities to immerse your young guests within the historical period and often includes a costume character fitting for the era or theme.
Our Performance & Workshop Themes include:
Mighty Myths: The Misadventures of Thor & Loki - An UN-traditional storytelling performance of Viking Mythology.
Pirate Storytelling - Meet Anne Bonny, the most notorious pirate to sail the seven seas in this interactive workshop.
Wizard Tuition - Professor Tawny will teach you Wizard Skills and Magic Lore in this Wizard School interactive workshop.
Drama Workshops - Master the basics of stagecraft and performance in this interactive drama workshop.
Our Range of Historical Meet & Greet Characters includes:
Viking Skald Storytellers, Boudicca Queen of the Iceni, Pirate Captain Anne Bonny, Wizard Professor Tawny.
Each session runs for 45 mins to 1 hour (max 3 hours for meet & greets) and is fully flexible to fit your scheduling requirements.
All of our practitioners are DBS checked and we provide full risk assessments for all our workshops & performances upon request.
