Kanteena

Kanteena is a huge community spirited, multi use space built into a disused brewery, in the
heart of Lancaster. The building boasts 5 spaces, the main room and gig space, atika bar, the huge beer garden and an axe throwing station. To add to this we have our own kitchen and a Thai street food trailer, both serving up fresh, homemade and tasty food whilst we passionately champion craft beers and fine spirits from near and far.

Lancaster has a population of 60,000 while the students number more than 30,000. This linked with the location, perfectly sat on the train line and M6 motorway between the north west and Glasgow and Edinburgh means Lancaster is in a great position to realise its potential as a hotspot for a wide variety of events.

We are, and aim to in the future bring in gigs with great variety from near and far. Kanteena has fully taken over as the go-to venue for live music in Lancaster and the surrounding areas and we aim to cement this further afield this year.

In the meantime we’ve been hosting events, we’ve had an eclectic mix of artists such as Don Lets, Pete Doherty, Frank Turner, The Zutons, Danny Rampling, YOUSEF, Lowes, Massive Wagons, The Lovely Eggs, Dilinja, Benny Page, K-Klass, Love Dose Records, Jungle Cakes and more.

We serve a multitude of clients that vary from small intimate parties, to large scale weddings for 200+. Plus corporate and private hire.

We also have years of experience hosting our street food vendors and bars at festivals and private events at venues across the country.
