La Cantina Street Food

New year, new owners, and an exciting new set up for Mexican Street Food fans!

La Cantina is a family owned business based in Aberdeenshire. Chef Matt de Silva has been cooking in professional kitchens locally for over 20 years. Now he has teamed up with sister Claire to run the little red van and cook up a storm of Mexican favourites. Burritos are the lunchtime staple when the van is in her usual pitches around Deeside, but tacos, chili bowls, cheesy nachos and quesedillas are also on the menu.

We are passionate about the food we serve, and about the experience you have eating at the little red van. With our gorgeous 1970's vintage Citroen H at the centre of operations, we have a tiny but fabulous kitchen and a unique focal point for your event.

We can easily cater for private events and parties of up to 50, and and are happy to work with you on menus to ensure you get your own favourites. We can also provide a simpler menu for larger groups. We love to attend events, and hope to see you out and about at shows, markets and other events around Aberdeenshire.

La Cantina is a great choice for private parties at your home or at a venue where you can provide your own catering. Special birthday parties where yummy food is required but the vibe is casual and late night nibbles at weddings are typical of the events where La Cantina has been popular.

Monthly town markets, events hosted at NTS properties and shows are also ideal as Mexican streetfood offers a great alternative to more traditional offerings.
