I was lucky to be born in Malawi - the beautiful Warm Heart of Africa, and being fortunate enough to grow up in such an amazing place inspired me, from an early age, to photograph it. I have had an interest in photography since then, a passion that has not disappeared over time.
I love to be behind a camera, observing, and recording events, as they unfold before my eyes. I like to use natural light, wherever possible and prefer unposed photographs, which capture the essence of the moment and the person.
My photographs tell a story, freezing special moments in time, enabling them to be displayed and re-lived for many years to come.

Ruth captured our intimate wedding ceremony beautifully from start to finish. She was very accommodating and stayed beyond the agreed schedule to be able to do so - we cannot thank her enough for her flexibility.
