My Name is Hawa and I am the owner of Mahinkamen. I’m originally from Dalaba-Gunia with the best culture, fashion, food, environment, celebrations and music, but unfortunately I had to leave all that behind for different reasons and come to the UK. I miss being in my country very much, and I wonder how many do experience such homesickness?

For all that, I decided to found MahinKaMen, which means ‘let’s go home’ in my language. MahinKaMen is a West African cultural experience that caters food, events, music and decorations that aims to reconnect people with the West African roots. It also aims to introduce the richness of this culture to people from other cultures in the UK. We can host your whole event and turn into an exotic west African experience.
