Over the years I’ve worked with and photographed some amazing people, experienced some stunning places both awe-inspiring and terrifying; hanging to a rope ladder slung over the side of a super tanker while it ploughed through the waves in the Atlantic, is just one that springs to mind!

Today I live, just outside the Lake District National Park. I’m married to Joanne, who’s put up with me for over 30 years, since we met at school! We’re lucky enough to have two great kids, Max and Finn and two dogs, Ozzi the hooligan and Jester the gentleman.

I'm a trained and qualified photojournalist and started my professional photographic journey studying documentary photography on the world-renowned course, set up by Magnum photographer Davis Hurn in Wales, where I learnt the art of the photo essay - telling a story through pictures.

When I graduated I moved into commercial and advertising photography working for a diverse range of clients. My work has including national advertising campaigns for the likes of First Direct and Gala Bingo, to ‘alternative’ black & white work for arts organisations and album covers such as the Halle Orchestra, Fila Brazillia and everything in-between.
