This company is run by Steve McKenna, former Real Radio DJ, who's also worked at Radio 1, Channel 5, BBC Scotland and many more. His name's on the company and everything we do - which means his reputation's on the line every time we provide as little as a projector through to as much as full festival production.
What you may not realise is many events companies aren't even companies. They're often someone with no equipment hiring someone like us to do all the work and charging you a fortune on top. Cut out the middleman and come directly to us.
Some companies plan events, and some provide aspects of the equipment. We are in a unique position in that we own and operate all our own equipment and do everything for you.
We're a genuine one-stop shop, no matter how big or small your event. This reduces the number of people you have to deal with as we're not hiring from third parties, and the costs are guaranteed to be the most competitive.
Typical Clients
Corporate clients ranging from Frankie & Bennys (Restaurant Group), Arnold Clark and Ford. National and local charities including Enable, Alzheimer's Scotland and Tomorrow's People. Various local authority councils including Glasgow, East Lothian and North Lanarkshire....however if you've got a house party for 10 people and we can help, you'll get the same level of service we'd provide for a major event.

Amazing Service, Perfect Event
We were absolutely thrilled with Steve’s service. It was a fantastic night and the feedback was great. Everyone asked about where we had found the DJ and where they knew him from. All our guests loved the quiz and video Steve put together with treasured photos of family and friends. Steve was a consummate professional and helped manage the surprise guests arrival and helped make the night unforgettable. Not to mention his ability to get everyone up in the floor by the end of the night. Amazing. Will be booking him for any future events.
Above and beyond
Steve did the AV for our Grandfathers funeral. Despite a member of the church dropping his laptop at set up (while trying to be helpful!) he was organised, had back up laptop and despite the technical challenges it caused pulled off a great slide show for the audience. Would 100% recommend Steve. Thanks for helping make our day ,memorable. Don
High quality service and superb communication
McKenna Live events made the process of selecting and supplying a guest speaker a breeze. Very professional. I would highly recommend them for any events. Des Clarke was exceptionally funny and a gent . He took time to talk to our guests and take selfies.

McKenna events really go the extra mile to make sure everything is thought through and you have the right event support on the day. Our event had a few technical challenges and Steve stayed with us throughout to make sure it went smoothly. I will be using this company again for future events.
A professional and outstanding service
Steve as Entertainment Lead, MC, DJ, quiz master, guest engagement supremo enhanced my Birthday Party one hundredfold. We will always book him on other occasions, as will many of my guests, all of whom commented on how ‘he held the evening together, unobtrusively, humorously and with outstanding music and communication skills. This guy is more than a DJ - he’s the best at what he does - a true ‘Pro’. If you want a Party to flow, entertain your guests, have all the ingredients for lighting, videos, music with fabulous dancing, great guest engagement and customised to your requests, Steve McKenna is your man.
