I am a 5th generation professional close-up magician and have been performing since he was 8 years old, giving him 14 years performing magic in the uk and overseas. My style and performance are entirely unique and original and guaranteed to leave guests with memories they will have for a long time.

My father was a magician, he would teach me from a young age. I would create a trick, then travel up to London, perform it 100 times to complete strangers, mess it up 99 and get it right once! Eventually, you learn from your mistakes and realize the best way to perform and misdirect people, now I will perform a trick 100 times and get it right 100.

When I turned 14 my routine had come along so far that I started performing professionally in restaurants to get more practice, my fee was a meal and to keep any tips, I was doing 3 restaurants every week for about 2 years until i left school at 16. Once I left school I had a database of customers I met at the various restaurants I worked at in my youth that helped me to branch out into doing private parties, weddings, and corporate work.

Merlin has been mentored and taken lessons from some big names in magic such as Derren Brown, David Blaine, and many more. He's been described by professional magicians and his clients as one of the most rising magicians in the South of England. Performance includes everything from mind-reading, levitation, street and stage magic, and flawless sleight of hand with cards!
