Absolutely brilliant, couldn't have been better.
The Millstone Band played at my Retirement Hoedown on Saturday and to say they surpassed my expectations is an understatement. They were a fantastic barn dance band, played great music and Paul the caller was great at getting everyone on the floor. Thanks to the band my guests and I had a truly memorable evening and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much to Alex, Paul and the band for making my evening so magical. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who wants a traditional barn dance with a great band at an excellent price.
everything i hoped for
they were a nice friendly band .got the guests going
Reliable, easy-going & great fun!
We booked Millstone Band for our wedding and they did a fantastic job, arriving in plenty of time and bringing all their own kit. Caller provided clear instructions which was perfect as a lot of our guests were ceilidh virgins. The band adapted well to slightly adverse circumstances (a very small dancefloor!) and our guests had a fantastic time. Polite and easy going. Highly recommend.
Exactly what I wanted. Accommodating. Great music!
My wife and I had our wedding at Cracoe Village Hall in Skipton on May 5th and The Millstone Band was our musical guest! We had them booked for 4 hours, from 6 to 10pm. Arrived on time, but due to our own fault of setting up the tables poorly, I asked them to wait until later to play as dinner was still going on. Were very accommodating. Once we were ready, just before 8pm, they were ready to go. My wife is from Yorkshire and I'm from Texas, so first they played On Ilkla Moor Baht 'at, and then surprisingly they played a Texas folk song! Ha! So sweet and perfect. From then on, it was a ceilidh! Great! Great music, caller, etc. Done at 10, packed up and left. Exactly what it was supposed to be. Just perfect!
