Sails and Canvas

Since 2015 Sails and Canvas have been saving old sails from landfill - repurposing the
sailcloth and adding marine canvas to handcraft a collection of bags, accessories and
lifestyle products for the home and garden.

From beach bags, duffles and wash bags to deckchairs and windbreaks, our products have colourful fresh designs and nautical features. Using marine grade materials -canvas, rope,webbing and hardware - adds assurance that the quality items we make will be as longlasting and durable as the sailcloth itself.

Sails are designed for a lifetime of adventures on the water, but sailcloth is not an
environmentally friendly material - it is not biodegradable and shockingly over 97% of old sails end up in landfill.

At Sails and Canvas we offer an alternative end - sustainably taking the sails on a journey from boat to bag - and capturing the essence of this former life is part of the joy of owning a recycled sailcloth bag.
