About The Haylayers
In June 1992 a barn dance was held in Surbiton (Surrey, England) in aid of the charity 'Sequal'. The musicians who played that night decided to start doing regular dances. Having acquired the name "The Haylayers" (it was originally supposed to have been called "The Haymakers") the band started to play regularly in 1993.
The Haylayers, ceilidh and barn dance band are an active, dynamic and young(ish) band with their own caller. They have performed at numerous functions and usually play in England, UK. They are available for booking for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, school and church events and for any party needing a bit of fun! The Haylayers are a six-piece band; flute, violin, guitar, piano, bass and drums. The caller is also the guitarist.
