The pizza box was founded by Alec Cruikshank a private chef who recently was named as chef of the year in the menu food and drink awards covering the whole of Perthshire, Dundee & Angus, and Fife.
Alec’s experience in pizzas comes from having built a wood-fired oven on the farm from which he has done deliveries and held private parties. Such was the popularity of his pizzas he decided to take them to a wider audience hence going mobile. Getting a converted horsebox was the obvious answer as the produce grown on the farm is fertilized from the family's 3 horses.

Amazing pizza and great service!
Alec provided pizzas for our twilight wedding and they went down a storm with our guests. The locally sourced toppings really made it that bit more special. Highly recommend!
Food was excellent
Alec catered for my wedding on the 6th June 2024 with his amazing 3 choice buffet. He catered for some dietaries in the party and made sure everyone got fed :) The food was delicious! In the evening we had a pizza buffet from the pizza box and everyone raved at how good the pizzas were! He even made a point of finding me with my gluten-free pizzas. Would recommend both types of catering from Alec @ the pizza box! Thanks again! (sorry I didnt get any picutres!!)
Pizza and BBQ for Stag Do
Alec did a brilliant job for my brother's Stag Do. Communication was excellent and food was fantastic. Pizzas on the first night with a brilliant range of different toppings and the second night a huge bbq feast including porchetta and brisket. I would highly recommend Alec to others!
Brilliant - fully recommend for weddings
Alec Catered our wedding at Molteno Hall in Perthshire, doing a lunch grill and evening pizzas. We couldn’t have asked for more! The food was amazing and our guests were full to the brim. Alec was great to have around; catering for 95 people smoothly and with a big smile on his face all day long. 100% recommend.
