About The Sunny Spoon LTD

I was born and raised in a little town, high in the mountains of the french alps, called Veynes. From a very young age I picked up an interest in food, I come from a family where everything is homemade and preferably home or locally grown. From the jam to the tomato sauce, passing by bread and chou pastry, I am very lucky to have two brilliant cooks as parents and three sisters who didn't miss a chance to prop me up on a chair wearing a tea towel as an apron, to stir an apple cake or cover a genoise with creme patissiere to make a swiss roll.

As soon as I could write a menu by myself I started setting up dinner parties for my family to attend (they were usually very behind on schedule and had way too many courses for a mid week evening meal...). From the appetizer to the dessert I would spend hours in the kitchen creating dishes, taking a lot of liberties with the recipes which resulted in a few misses...

I went on to study art, and had a sinuous journey with food which led me to study and get certified in french patisserie and work in many restaurants and luxury establishments. I spent time in both pastry sections and main kitchen, always yearning to learn more.

I went vegan in 2013 after a long battle with a chronic digestive illness, from then I started to develop vegan patisseries and created my company The Sunny Spoon.

I went on to open Cafe Forty One, a fully vegan restaurant in a hotel in Notting Hill and have now moved on to consulting, helping brands creating vegan options and teaching plant based cooking.
