Yorkshire Rose Events is a small, family-run business founded by Emily, a former psychology teacher with a passion for creativity and organisation. Based in Darlington, Emily made the leap from teaching to entrepreneurship after dreaming of running her own business, and Yorkshire Rose Events was born. Specialising in creating memorable, personalised events, the company prides itself on bringing a warm, personal touch to every occasion. We value a healthy work/life balance, prioritising mental health and engaging with clients and suppliers to create meaningful long lasting relationships.

Emily, who is also a proud mother to a lively two-year-old, balances her love of coffee and rugby with the daily demands of motherhood and running a growing business. Sustainability focussed event planning.

Over the years we have curated a large network of sustainable suppliers who are all striving for the same end goal - to reduce waste in the events industry here in the North of England. Whether you are looking for us to help you plan a corporate event or something closer to home, you can guarantee that we will have thought about every aspect of the event with this mindful focus.

One way in which we are dedicated to reducing our residual, unavoidable carbon footprint is by supporting the biodiversity and nature reserve projects ongoing at Make It Wild. We make sure some of our profits from every event we run are redirected into carbon mitigation through tree planting on their reserves right here in the North.

Every time we have a new event request, no matter how big or small, we already set to work thinking of which suppliers would best suit the budget and the type of event. This is where my mindful approach comes into its own. We carefully select suppliers who are local to the venue, have a dedicated ethos of being sustainable or as ethical as possible, and we have detailed conversations with each of them before engaging their services.

We are proud that we have such a strong commitment to creating sustainable events and sharing our knowledge, to grow the importance of it, across the sector and with the suppliers we engage with. We think it's more than just a 'social responsibility'.
