Serenata Italiana provides an acoustic band. With Classical-Spanish guitar, Luigi performs the highly emotional music of his hometown Naples as well as other Mediterranean and Latin places. They provide music for every event and have experience in music festivals, openings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and restaurants.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer I ideally need the event date, the location of the event, the estimated number of guests and size of the venue, if it's an outdoor or indoor event and the type of event, the preferred music genre and the line up:
- Instrumental soloist
- Singing guitarist
- Duo voice-guitar/mandolin
- Trio voice-guitar/mandolin/percussions
I will use my experience to put together suitable equipment and plan the music for the event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I'd ask for years of experience in the field and their style. Experience is the best tool to provide a smooth-less event. The style is the only way you can match your vision of the event with the one of the provider.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have been dedicated to music studies since an early age. An eclectic route, through saxophone and guitar, led me to singing, where I have completed my expressive dimension.
I improved my technique under the guidance of M. Mario Castiglia as a soloist and chorister.
I worked as a soloist with the Orchestra Fantasia Napoletana, touring throughout Italy, performed in Poland and Spain as a chorister with the Renaissance ensemble Principe San Severino, participating in international art music festivals (colto/extracolto). Among many, I played with Linley Hamilton, Espedito De Marino, Antonio Florio.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Not yet had any booking through Add to Event as I've only just joined, but I hope I'll soon add more details to this adventure.
