What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote we ideally need the event date, the number of guest attending, the location and the age of the guests. We also need to know if it's going to be indoors or outdoors. Once we have this information we can deliver a quote for the correct packages suitable for the customer.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the company you are going to use is licenced as it's not something that you might think about; all animal encounter companies must hold an Animal Activities Licence. You can then ask what animals they provide, how long they offer their encounters for and what interaction they offer. It's also a good idea to find out how long they have been trading for and how much experience they have, so you know they will be professional and deliver a great service.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We are a small, family-run business and we share a passion for animals and education. We believe learning about animals is a great way to connect to nature, as well as helping with self-development. We have worked with animals for many years and found this is a great way to let people get up and close to unusual animals they wouldn't get to normally. We started Zoo 4 You shortly after finishing university and haven't looked back since!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We only started using Add to Event quite recently but already found it to be a great way to manage bookings and provide our services to more customers, we just wish we had discovered it earlier!! We had a show recently in East London that was a great success. The client was very happy with the service we provided and all the kids (and adults!) had an amazing time meeting our animals. We are looking forward to using Add to Event more and more in the future and can't wait to provide our encounters to clients we wouldn't have previously connected with!
