What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a comprehensive quote we would like as many details regarding the event from the organiser as possible, such as venue details, start & finish times, location, number of attendees and not forgetting if there is a certain 'look' the client would like to achieve. Based on the information provided we can put together a very detailed design unique to the client.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would say the biggest thing is research into what you asking. I am not saying you need to know everything about the equipment but a little knowledge goes a long way. Far too many people are taken advantage of when not knowing what they are hiring and what they should expect / not expect to be included with the hire.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
JK Entertainments first started as mobile disco agency but over the past years has grown into an all-round event services company keeping one thing in mind and top of the list - what the client wants. The passion has always been there and it is safe to say will never disappear. Over the years we have built up a great community of staff from all areas of the AV world which has formed the JK family.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Well that is like asking a child to pick out his favourite toy! You're going to be there for awhile. If I must chose one though I would say a projection hire for a young girl's birthday party. Such pleasant people to deal with. They didn't know a great deal about the equipment but we had no issues in explaining to them each piece of equipment so they knew what they wanted is what they got.
