What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a detailed quote, we are looking for the event date & location, a couple of sentences outlining the type of event and if they have a theme to follow. We would also need to know the estimated number of guests attending and the length of time the event will last for. From this information we can put together a quote detailing the services and products we can provide.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask about the products and services they provide, how long have they been in business and do they have a portfolio to show you their work. Meeting them at a wedding fair or when they are setting up a function will show you how professional they are. Look at their website or social media for reviews, ask your venue or other suppliers if they have worked with the provider before, as recommendations from other people will give you confidence to book them.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Inflate 2 Create was set up as we wanted to have our own business instead of working for someone else. We have been married for 30 years, and have always worked together so after being made redundant it made sense to carry on working together. The idea of creating a balloon company made sense as we love working with colour and being creative! Over the past few years, we have gradually increased our services to provide full venue styling for our customers.
