What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Apart from the basics like location, date, type of event and numbers we want as much information as possible. No two events are the same, so the more we know about the event the better. We can even personalise what we offer to help make the event successful and memorable.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Catering for an event is important, so as an organiser you need to ask yourself - do you feel comfortable and confident that the supplier you are looking at can deliver on their promises? Have they got a good track record? Can they give you references from previous clients? I would also recommend that, if feasible, you visit the caterer at another event to taste the food and see the operation, this is not always possible but if it is, make the effort! It's also important to check the food hygiene score and public liability insurance held by the company.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have been in catering since birth working in many and varied locations. I married a Brazilian lady whilst working in London and after a while we moved to Joao Pessoa in the North East of Brazil where we lived for eight years. I developed a love for Brazilian food - especially BBQ, so when we moved back to the UK it was on the list of what we were going to do next! I started with a little churros trailer and slowly built the business, now its really taking off and my only regret was not getting back into it earlier!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Since being introduced to the Add to Event platform we have had several bookings. The smallest was also one of my favourites; a private party quite local to us, the client's house was stunning and the party was a massive success. I use the images from that event in my advertising as I love the atmospherics of the picture. The biggest event we have done so far was also through Add to Event - a corporate client asked us to cater for their family fun day in Wales, it was for 1000 people and it went perfectly, we received super feedback from the event and doing it gave me lots of confidence to go for the big numbers! Add to Event was recommended to me by a fellow trader and I have recommended it to several others as it's a great way to find clients or for clients to find you.
