What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote we would ideally have the event date, location, type of event and service required along with whether there is the use of a kitchen (indoor or outdoor setup) and the number of guests!
We can then provide multiple menu options to suit any budget and logistic needs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Establish the quality of food being provided - do your research on Add to Event/social media/online and know that what you are paying for is of a good standard, you are then happy to pay that bit more for the expertise, the service and high presentation standards.
Go for someone who is passionate - not just a business!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Hidden Chef Catering started as Andrew was eager to work for himself, work freelance delivering his expertise where needed and it also then gave him the time to delve into his passion for BBQ and smokehouse meats that you will see on his menu. He loves bringing his own ideas to the table (literally) rather than someone else's. He has gained all of his knowledge across all sectors of the catering industry so enjoys the BBQ as much as he does the Caribbean party, corporate catering, weddings and British dining......striving to reap the benefits one day and look at what he has achieved and can pass onto his children.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Our very first event from Add to Event was in the depths of the Welsh hills - you could not have happened upon this venue by accident. It was a hen party for a group of 14 lovely ladies that were just there to have fun and didn't care who was watching. The cooker was awful and gave us some headaches but we pulled through with delicious food and the ladies absolutely loved the table setup and food. We love doing the small events as much as the large ones as they are so personal and intimate.
