Monkey Face Facepaint is available to take face painting bookings in the Oxford area. With hours of experience while working as a face painter and body painter full-time, Katie is able to provide a professional service at your party.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To be able to provide a comprehensive quote ideally I would need to know the date and time of the party, the number of children attending and the location. If you have a theme for your party or a special request for the birthday boy or girl please let me know it. For the set up in order to paint comfortably and visibly you will need to supply a seating area preferably with normal-sized chairs and a table, this could be also a high chair and table ( and I will stand).
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking to hire I would say to check the photos of the artist's work so you can see the quality of the artistry. Secondly checking what is provided in the time you have so that the timings can be adjusted and the price can be accurate. Thirdly make sure the entertainment is suitable for your age group. If you are needing something for older kids maybe choose airbrush tattoos rather than face painting ( for example).
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my business after working for a Kindergarden school in Barcelona and I progressed to entertainment and body painting. I taught myself the basics of face painting and progressed from there. I also started a body painting business that focuses on prenatal art. Which is a form of artwork specifically aimed at the celebration of the birth providing pregnant mothers with a pampering session and a photography session.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I recently attended a lovely kids and adults party. It was a jungle theme so we did a range of animal print face painting. All the guests were wonderful and we had the best time celebrating together. This is the type of party I like to go to along with many others it's great when the adults also join in the fun!
