What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote, ideally we need the type of event, the event date, the event location and an estimated number of guests.
From this, we can use our experience to work out travel costs, food costs and equipment needs.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask the provider about their product.
Ask about the menus and check if you can have alternatives to cater for your requirements.
Ask what the food is to be served on/in.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Love's Parties was born after moving to the Forest of Dean.
I had spent many years cooking and working in the catering industry and decided the time was right to go it alone.
I wanted to provide good, old fashioned buffets and traditional hot food; back to basic humble, but filling.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
My first Add to Event was for a Corporate awards ceremony with a very tight and exacting budget but the P.A. was amazing and together we decided on what to serve the dignitaries.
It went extremely well, the comments were very positive and lead to a couple more buffets which I was thrilled about as we are a new small cottage business.
I recommend Add to Event to all I know in the hospitality industry as it certainly helped me take a step up the ladder.
