If I was looking to hire someone in my line of work I would definitely be asking about their background in the catering industry and previous experience in serving quality and safe food in an outdoor environment, Depending on the size of the event speed of service would also be important. Lastly, the style of the food and packaging will it suit my event and would food be easy to handle in the absence of seating or in formal wear.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I was brought up in a pub and now I am a fine-dining chef with many years of experience having worked all over the globe honing my skills. I have a passion for good food and a love of festivals from this Xanders diner was born. I enjoy nothing more than helping people have a really good party and with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for service with a smile I enjoy nothing more than seeing happy customers and guests having a great time.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is an amazing platform with a diverse client base. Through Add to Event, I have secured ongoing contracts that take us deep into the Welsh mountains in muddy fields serving 1300 hungry marathon runners to local parties and corporate events. The most memorable has been a local doctor that had to postpone his 50th birthday due to covid it was so lovely to see everyone come together after such a long time apart and we felt truly blessed to have been a part of the celebrations. I have recommended many caterers and clients to the platform as it's a great way to bring traders and clients together. The online community is also a great help, it nice to chat and share ideas with others in the industry.
