What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Think about your guests, do you need different options for the kids, the older guests or even those with a dietary requirement?
Do you want to add some theatre? Lots of suppliers like ourselves can add a bit of excitement to a party by serving our hot topped waffles!
Think about your budget carefully. The supplier needs to cover their costs including ingredients, time and travel when they quote break it down by the number of guests and cost per guest.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Oh My Yum is the result of decades of telling the owner Lisa every time they tried one of her bakes that they should do this for a living... finally she took their advice. After a few years of working as a professional baker and managing the other aspects of a well-established cake business, she took the plunge in 2018 and began Oh My Yum. Day to day we provide bakes to a number of York cafes and we have experience creating dessert bars for weddings and setting up as a street food bakes stand at several local events.
