What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote it would be best if organisers could provide more information on menu choice and what they need.

For example more info on how many vegans and vegetarians meals required.

How spicy should it be or none at all and things like that. If we do not know we are not clear on how to quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Know what you want beforehand and if you do not fully know ask the cater for help and what they think would be best. Also, keep in mind that some menus will cost more than others and some are more difficult to prepare.

Do respond to requests for catering and do not delay so as to reserve the date for your booking.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always had a love for food, learning about different flavours and experimenting with different taste from a young age, gaining experience from my mum and dad while living alongside them in the Caribbean.
I really enjoy cooking for family and friends, hosting events and parties I have always spoken about starting my own business one day.

After attending an event with my family one weekend and tasting some of the food we purchased from a food van, I decided it was time and there is definitely a space for what I have to offer and decided to take the first step to launch our new adventure The Bajan Jerk Box.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event has been very good since it was recommended to me by the Neigh Bar I have had a lot more response. Going to France in June for a wedding and have another couple coming for a taste test on the 12th of May which came all via the Add to Event platform. Some events, not as successful as I wanted due to lack of advertisement from the organisers have let to the lack of people attending the event. But your platform has provided me with the most response and for that, I am truly grateful. I have since tried another platform but it does not compare to yours the look and the feel of the other site is lacking and a lot more expensive as well. I have since recommended your site to Two Boys and a Barrel hopefully they will have some success.
