Soozi is a cartoonist, caricaturist and artist and her artwork has been critically acclaimed by both her peers and subjects. She works as both a professional artist and as a caricaturist for weddings, parties, dinners, dances and corporate functions and is based on the Sussex/Kent border.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a quote to a customer I first need to know the date, location, ideally venue and town. The type of event it is and the approximate number of guests. Lastly the approximate start time and duration of the event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Art is a very personal preference so I would suggest the client views as many samples of work as they can. Look at work on social media like Facebook to see if they have any reviews. Ask as many questions as you feel necessary an experienced artist will be happy to cover all the questions you may have.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have worked in the Art sector for as long as I can remember. From fine art to graphic design. In 1997 I decided to turn professional as a caricaturist also.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I haven't yet obtained a booking through Add to Event. I have sent a few quotes off today from those on offer. I am very hopeful that one will ensue shortly. I have reviewed similar sites to this and am very impressed so far with what is on offer.
