What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the number of guests, and potential venue, whether there is a kitchen in the venue is important, what kind of food they would like, and ideally a maximum budget.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I think the best way to test a provider, is to ask if they offer a tasting. If they are sure about the quality of their products, they shouldn't have any problem to demonstrate what they are able to do.
