What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the date of the event, number of guests, potential venue and a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting. From this we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable package for their event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always ask the provider about the package they are offering and what it includes. The cheapest option is not always going to be the best - like with anything you get what you pay for. We have customers approach us all the time because they have been let down by another company offering a service at rock bottom prices but then not being able to fulfil the booking.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Sweet and Scrumptious Candy Carts was created from a love of weddings and events! We have spent over 10 years working in hospitality and planning weddings. Being a part of the most important day of people's lives is a very special opportunity and we love it!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We haven't been with Add to Event that long but already there has been lots of bookings for our Afternoon Teas and Sweet Carts. All of the bookings we have had so far have ran smoothly from the initial contact right through to the close of the event. I have been telling all the suppliers I work alongside about Add to Event and am trying to do my part to promote this amazing platform to anyone relevant to the hospitality and events industry.
