What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

One of the most important pieces of information is the date and the time of the party. However, it's also important to understand exactly what the client has in mind. We offer over 15 different packages and we can custom design others if necessary. Therefore, if the party has a particular theme or the child has a particular 'thing' they like it is great to be aware of this information. A lot of the time we can create a themed party when the client didn't think this would even be possible.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A key thing to look for is a link to a video. Most professional entertainers have a video promo which showcases exactly what they do. If they haven't got one of these, you have to wonder why. Also, make sure that the entertainer has everything in place that the venue you are hiring would ask for. Public Liability Insurance, DBS checks, PAT Test Certificates and Risk Assessments. All of this information should be on file and again if the entertainer hasn't got this, you have to ask yourself why.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

A lot of children's entertainers are what we call 'one man bands' which means they work on their own. Therefore, if they are ill or double book themselves they will not attend. Unfortunately, this happens a great deal. Non Stop Kids Entertainment was set up to provide a very high standard of entertainment but with the resources in place to ensure that the clients are never let down. We are passionate about entertaining children and putting smiles on kid's faces. Every time we receive great feedback it is such a buzz. That is a feeling that never goes away even though we entertain at 5000+ parties a year.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is a great service. They make it so easy both from the supplier's point of view and also from the point of view of the client. I like to look at it as a 'one stop shop'. If a person is planning an event rather than going to dozens of different places they can get multiple quotes from one place making planning an event a breeze. I especially like the way that Add to Event contact customers after the event to get feedback.
