What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide a fantastic quote to a potential customer we would need a brief description of the event, for example, is it a birthday party or christening? We would also need a rough estimate of a number of guests attending the party, this allows us to quote for the right amount of materials and time for the event. We would also need to know what age range the guests are, for example, if it is a 1-year-old's birthday party it might not be suitable to send a face painter.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would definitely suggest finding out more about the company, for example look into previous events where they have supplied entertainment. Ensure that they are fully insured, for product and public liability. I would also find out what equipment they will be using, for example is the face paint professional?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Cute Creations by Tiffany was started when I attended a charity event and the entertainer dropped out. I decided to take on the challenge of painting faces, it was fantastic. I really loved every moment of it, it was so enjoyable and the children really enjoyed it. I then decided I would start doing face painting, from there I now offer balloon twisting, pamper parties and a variety of mascots. In just a year I have managed to cut my full-time job to just working part-time as I am so busy taking bookings.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I personally am really happy Add to Event exists. I have had numerous jobs from this site, I think it is well worth the investment. Especially to a small business who needs to turn over as much money as possible. I did my first event about 6 months ago, it was fabulous, the client was lovely, made me feel really welcome! The best about it was they followed me on Social Media and I have had numerous bookings from there.
