What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide an accurate quotation, we need to know the proposed date and time slot for your party (1 or 2 hours), your chosen party theme and your venue address. We also need to know the approximate number of children attending your party (up to 35 children per entertainer) and the age group of those children. We will further supply you with some party plan examples for your chosen theme detailing the entertainment on offer.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When booking an entertainer make sure they are DBS checked and hold public liability insurance. Ask what equipment they provide as part of their service i.e. PA system, music and microphone, props for games etc. Look for entertainers who are well established and can provide you with specific details on the entertainment they would deliver on the day such as a party plan or entertainment set. Finally check their testimonials from previous clients as this will be the best indication of their experience, quality and reliability.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

It's Partabulous was launched in 2009 by Andrew after almost a decade of working as a children's entertainer. Andrew simply wanted to provide his unique style of high energy, fun, themed parties to a larger client base and offer his parties at an affordable price for everyone. He wanted to continue to create and deliver entertainment that would be more than just a party, but a special lasting memory and experience for the birthday child, positively impacting their little life beyond their special day.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have been booked quite regularly as an entertainer using the Add to Event platform. I recently moved to the South West and have launched It's Partabulous in Torbay. Add to Event has helped me reach customers that I may not otherwise have known existed - and who may never have been able to find me via a normal internet search.
