What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quote, ideally we need the event date, venue and type of event. If a quote is required for any type of catering, for example a chocolate fountain, we would need a rough estimate of guests.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We have been running for over 6 years and we see and meet all sorts of suppliers. Firstly, I would always recommend looking or finding reviews of a business before booking anything. Nowadays this is very easy and if you cant find anything then I would think twice. Ideally try and meet up for a consultation too.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Chocolate Balloons opened in 2012, initially as a chocolate fountain and balloon business. We have always worked in the catering and hospitality industry so this part came naturally and we loved the idea of learning about the events industry as it was always something we were interested in. Over time, we've grown into a one-stop-shop for weddings and events providing a huge range of services and supplying to over 500 weddings and events over the last 4 years.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We recently joined Add to Event and so far we love this site! We are receiving enquiries daily and have lots of great leads. I have taken a couple of bookings already for our Vintage Ice Cream Tricycle, which we are looking forward to completing!
