What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a quote we would need to know what type of hire required i.e Dry Hire, Cash Bar or Token Bar, and then we would need to know the date, set up and serving times, location and number of guests expected.
We can also design a bespoke cocktail menu with the client so any input of their favourite cocktails or spirits would be great.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If I looking for a bar I would ask about the provider's license. I would ask about the glassware and glass collecting and washing as I wouldn't want a load of dirty glasses everywhere. Then about the drink prices and type of spirits and beers that would be available.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started the business because I had been abroad for 10 years doing seasonal work as a private chef and mixologist, I wanted to come back to the UK and start a business that I could really enjoy as well as use my catering skills and experience in. The Cocktail Car allows me to do events and festivals across the country so there is never a dull moment!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I had a fantastic booking through Add To Event, it was our first Asian wedding, since then we have gone on to do a number of Asian weddings on the back of that first one, it's opened up a whole new market for us and we are very grateful. I would recommend Add To Event to all the traders I know and I am looking forward to getting lots more bookings with you!
