The Van
The Van provides a cute, mobile coffee van in Bolton, raising vital funds for a charity, BACKUP, which supports homeless young people. They serve high-quality coffee, tea, soft drinks, and cakes from a converted van with the help of volunteers and the residents on their projects. The residents gain valuable work experience skills, whilst any profit goes straight back into the charity! They are available for all types of events.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We spend most of the summer working up Rivington Thursday-Friday and every other weekend, so our best time for bookings is Tuesday or Wednesday or our free weekends! We're a charity and we use our service users as volunteers, so giving new career opportunities to young people who may not have worked before. Just give us an idea of what the event is, how you are paying, whether we can wire up to electricity rather than use our generator and whether you want delicious cakes!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Use us if you want to know the money is going towards a charity helping homelessness! We try our best to always recycle, we use fair trade coffee from Rijo 42, fresh ground from beans. Our cakes are homemade in Bolton by a small business owner.

BACKUP Northwest, like everyone, suffered a tough year in 2020, full of new challenges, including financial. The coffee van is our response to a changing future. One way we can reach out to customers and find other income options.

We're new to ATE and looking forward to our first booking.
