Cafe2U is a mobile coffee van providing delicious gourmet espresso coffee, other hot/cold drinks and refreshments in Preston and the Northwest. They have taken all the equipment, products and facilities from the Cafe and put them into the back of a Mercedes van. This means they take the cafe to the customer, serving coffee, tea, hot chocolate and light snacks in any location, anywhere, at any time.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a comprehensive quote, I need an event date and duration, an estimated number of guests and whether snacks are required in addition to my delicious barista coffee and hot chocolate. I am self-contained for power and water so it really is that simple!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking to impress your guests make sure you book with a trained barista who uses top-quality ingredients. Are there lots of drinks options and non-dairy alternatives available? Will all rubbish be taken away leaving you with no tidying up? I strive to ensure my host has nothing to do but enjoy my coffee.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I decided to start my own business as a complete change of career from the one I had been in since leaving school. Being my own boss is fantastic and something my kids can aspire to. I have a constant opportunity to illustrate my passion for top-quality customer service with every coffee made. The "job satisfaction" is so rewarding as I am told every day how delicious my drinks are.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
It was fantastic to be booked for a "staff well-being" day recently at a school. After a challenging time, the staff really appreciated a delicious hot drink and snack to start their day. It was a beautiful setting and luckily the weather was fine so it was a fun morning and hopefully one that will be repeated.
