What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote ideally we need the event date and timings, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event and if they are paying for us to be there or if they want us to sell directly.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Think about the coffee offering you are looking for, options are varied these days and coffee is no longer just coffee. Folks require quality which is benchmarked against many high street and independent coffee shops so premium grade coffee is a must as lots of people are coffee aficionados. Our coffee is a Spanish roast and is quite simply stunning and is served in many ways. We offer several options for milk to cater to all tastes, beliefs and intolerances as standard and of course not everyone likes coffee so the tea offering is equally as important.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Monument Coffee was started by our son after he returned from working abroad, as we run an events business it was an easy addition to what we did and it helped him get established. The setup was originally from a van but today we operate from both a box trailer and an indoor bar which is perfect for corporate gigs or events. Our son did return to working abroad so it's now husband and wife team trading at lots of events around the UK and of course at our own shows.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

A recent booking was an RAF base where we were asked along to an indoor officers mess evening, we were asked to supply coffee all evening to all in attendance and chat and be sociable and explain about the coffee and the process. It was a fabulous evening and one we have been asked to repeat. Other recent successes from Add to Event have been corporate gigs with car dealerships and call centres.
