Grounded in the North have a beautiful vintage 1975 horsebox that has been lovingly restored into a mobile coffee bar and will travel within a 2-hour radius of Manchester. Here they share their story and advice on what to look for when booking a provider that will "make your event memorable".
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Where and when the event is. Expected number of guests. What services you would like: limited/unlimited drinks, guests paying for drinks or dry hire of the horse box for your own services. Duration of the event and if electricity and water are available on site.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at all of the available service providers and go with the one you think can elevate your event, offer unrivalled service and excellent coffee. Which vendor is going to make your event memorable? Also, think about whether the vendor is aligned with your own values; what packaging to they use, are they considerate of the suppliers they use, do they use local companies, will they go above and beyond for you.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started this business because I have a passion for coffee, I love supporting small businesses and I love putting a smile on people's faces.
One day I saw a vintage horsebox for sale on eBay and I instantly knew that was it. From then everything fell into place. I love what I do, and it shows in every cup of coffee I make.
I'm also incredibly dedicated to ensuring all of our products have been ethically sourced, we recycle everything we can (including our milk bottles) and we only use compostable, recyclable or biodegradable packaging.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We're brand new to Add to Event, so far its been a fantastic platform and we can't wait to get our first booking!
