Coffee Van Hire in Birmingham

There Goes is a new mobile coffee bar in Birmingham. Wherever there's an event, you can hire their barista and enjoy unlimited, speciality coffee, ranging from mochas and lattes to an americano.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

The number of people attending the event, the duration of time they would like coffee to be served, whether this would be unlimited coffee for guests and finally the location. It would also be helpful to know if electrical and water supply are available.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering, I wouldn't want my hair cut by someone who didn't know much about hair, so why drink coffee from someone who knows little about the coffee they are offering.
Ask the provider about their menu and why they are serving what they are serving. After all, we are coffee bars so that should our main offering.
Also, find out about their equipment as better equipment will mean they can make better tasting drinks, more efficiently.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started There Goes following an experience from a coffee vendor at an event I went to. I had driven hours to be there and I just wanted a nice coffee. The place I went to charged me much more than I would usually pay for a drink I would of paid a lot less for. So I started asking myself the question, why can't you get speciality coffee at events?
By speciality coffee I mean those independent baristas who use really good products and equipment and take a great deal of pride in the drink they make.
After looking around I found that not many companies were offering speciality coffee for different events. I found many would have quirky and cool looking vehicles, but the coffee they were making wasn't something I found particularly tasty.
So I got some equipment in, started making drinks for friends and then some event opportunities came along.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had a few events booked through Add to Event with more to look forward to in 2017.
One of the events I did in particular was very short notice but was an excellent opportunity. It was providing drinks for a engineering training day. It went well, I think a lot of the guests were surprised to see such a set up at the training day, but from the number of coffees they had, I'm sure they enjoyed it.
I would definitely recommend Add to Event to others. It has allowed me to see trends looking ahead to 2017 as to what products I can offer along with where I am likely to get bookings.
