Sweet Palace

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a most accurate comprehensive quote, ideally, we need to know the location, date and time, duration of event, power and water supply availability, access, any difficulties we may have as well as numbers of guests to cater for. We can work on a variety of different basis and the most important is communication with organiser so they receive what they want and only pay for what they get. Size of the event will help us judge how busy we'll get and how many staff we need in order to provide a speedy service and don't leave guests waiting for too long.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Based on my experience and observations, it is crucial to find out as much as possible about the supplier. Ask absolutely all the questions you may have, as this will minimise misunderstanding and impact on the service you receive. It is also equally important to explain to suppliers exactly what you expect and be honest about your event. Definitely read the reviews and check their social media pages. Phone conversation with the supplier is also recommended as this will be a great occasion to find out more about the product, service and supplier himself.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I went to Krakow for a holiday where I found chimney cakes for the first time. When I came back to the UK, the thought was to bring them to the UK with me for the next couple of months, then I started converting my van and searching for suppliers. We went to Budapest for training and to find out more about them and decided to add other desserts and adjust chimney cakes to UK consumers, add some creativity and modernity to traditional Hungarian dessert. That's how Sweet Palace formed. :)
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had many different themed bookings including prepaid bookings. We had a great booking for the Leeds Food & Drink Festival. It was a 3-day event with a professional event planner, a team of helpful electricians and 24 hr onsite security. The team was very helpful and organised great advertisement to help us succeed. They provided power for the whole duration of the event and choose different suppliers so everyone made great business! We have had some good times at prepaid corporate events providing drinks and Ice Creams for staff as well as some fun days at summer fairs. Variety of different events available through the website with lots of lovely adjustments available! The best one is distance covered, where we can search for jobs nationwide! Already referred to a couple of suppliers, highly recommended.
