What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to give my customers the best quote, I need to know how many people they will have and how many treats they would like each guest to be able to eat. If it's for a chocolate fountain, I need to know if they would like it without dips or with dips as well as how long they would want it for and how many guests they are expecting.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I think when looking to hire a provider in my area of work, make sure that they are registered. It is good to have accountability when working with food. Also, ask them if they receive positive feedback on the taste of their product and not just the aesthetics. Some people will settle for an okay tasting cake because it looks spectacular but they shouldn't have to.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Pat’s Sweet Box is named after my mother, Patricia. If you know my mother, you know she’s an amazing cook. She is famous in the family for being able to make a meal out of nothing and it’s always delicious. This is because my mother is very brave in the kitchen. She likes to take chances and trust it will work out fine-it always does. I channel the spirit of Pat when I bake. I say to myself, “why not?!” and “ You’ll never know unless you try.” This allows me to be my most creative self in the kitchen and as my customers have noted, it displays itself in my eye for detail. I hope Pat’s Sweet Box will allow you to experience fun and new flavours. I also hope, that when you’re eating one of our treats, you’re smiling. :)

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have been booked twice with Add to Event, but the dates of the events have not arrived yet so do check back later and read my reviews to see how the experience went from my customers point of view, but no matter what happens, I will make sure that my customers have the best experience that I could possibly provide. Add to Event has been a great blessing to my business as it has allowed me to market myself to customers of all sorts. Even if a customer does not use my service at this time, they now know of my business and as they have said, will keep me in mind in the future.
