What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask for details of what sound and lighting equipment the DJ usually use. Check that the DJ is willing to play requests during the evening, and make sure that the DJ is willing to follow a list of your own musical tastes.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Hit Squad DJs started in 1999, though Jezz Baker has been a DJ since the 80s. We only use handpicked professional DJs with a superb selection of music and professional equipment. From the superb reputation that we built up, we were requested to supply all other forms of entertainment, such as bands, magicians, caricaturists and many other acts.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We sent a quote for an event for Western Digital - a garden party in the mid week afternoon. Having spoken to the organisers we were accepted. The afternoon was fun for everyone concerned in lovely sunshine. A big success!!!
